Death Perpetuum - Destructively Disturbed

This mix is more like a “concept” than a “demo.” The underlying effort of this is to show that what goes on inside my mind does indeed mirror the music that I spin. Dark and menacing tunes that build on ad infinitum, and with the flip of a switch, the music gets harder and more violent. But with darkness comes light, for there cannot be balance unless both are present. Following the chaotic “Soundwall VIP,” I decided to use “Clip Kill” to mildly chill out the mix before slamming face-first into darkness again.

Another goal of this mix is to show who my primary influences are. I’ve changed a lot musically over the years, and I want this mix to express that. As seen by the overdose on labels like Renegade Hardware, Moving Shadow, Prototype and Metalheadz, as well as a severe influx of such artists as Dylan and Dom & Roland.

As I was putting the finishing touches on the track list at 3 am, I was also watching the Metalheadz documentary that so many of you are familiar with. “Obsession” seemed to fit perfectly, while I thought “Up All Night Remix” would bring an epic and welcoming end to this brutal piece of work.
